April Misiewicz, LMSW

Hi, I’m April, a Licensed Master Social Worker dedicated to helping adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and care. I offer individual and couples therapy to adults from all walks of life, and I’m committed to creating a space where you can feel safe, supported, and truly seen.

My approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and feelings of aimlessness or stagnation. I also support those who are exploring their identity, seeking more effective coping strategies, or simply trying to make sense of what’s next in life.

I draw from an integrative and eclectic framework, blending relational, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) practices. I believe that therapy should be tailored to your unique story, and that healing starts when we have the space to speak freely, without judgment.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Fordham University and have provided care in a variety of settings, including private clinics, inpatient substance use programs, community mental health centers, and school-based environments. These diverse experiences allow me to support clients with a wide range of backgrounds and needs.

Outside of therapy, I’m an animal lover and someone who tries to lead with kindness in everything I do. I smile not because life is always perfect, but because I believe there is always something to be grateful for. My personal philosophy is that everything happens for a reason, even when it’s hard to understand in the moment.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with warmth, honesty, and a genuine commitment to your well-being, I’d be honored to work with you.If you are interested (click here).

I look forward to working with you!
